Snow

Since it's snowing here I decided that I should analyize why people dislike snow or like it. Hey it's random and random is awsome!

So why would people hate snow? Well first of all snow can block driveways, sidewalks, roads, and just about anything else. So this makes it harder for people to travel because everything is blocked. Therefore they will get frustrated and not reach their destination at the time they wanted because in order to avoid crashing cars must travel at a slow speed when on a slippery surface.

Second is the weather. Some people like to stay the same body temperature, because well our bodies don't like change. So when the weather gets colder as it snows, our bodies have to adjust to the cold temperatures. So because of the bitter cold that we have to endure, some people dislike the snow because it chills everything including them. Thus because they get chilled they may even catch a cold which can lead them into hating snow since snow can cause cold weather.

Now let's go to the other end, why would people like snow? One possible idea is that you can make things out of snow and you can play in it like sledding. But why would people want to do that? Well making things out of snow can be fun and playing on it gets you out of the house. People probably like doing it because it's a change from the usual indoor/house scenery and it's something to do when bored. Also since snow only comes by for one season people want to make the most out of it. Therefore people will play in the snow because it's fun and only comes by one season out of 4.

So whether you like or dislike snow is up to you. I personally like snow, so you decide.

Why is it hard to loose weight?

I don't know, but it's another random topic that's what I know! I don't know it was the first thing that came into my head since I've been having issues with it.

So the question that everyone asks: why is it hard for me to loose weight? Well let me just give you some background information. In my house we have a doctor's scale with which we weigh ourselves every saturday and record the numbers on our calander. Thus because we have a pretty acurate scale, my dad urges me to loose a pound a week, and if I don't well he just gets angry.

First of all it's hard for me to loose weight because I'm just plain lazy sometimes. Why? Well to loose weight I usually jump on my mini trampoline for 10 minutes after school and then another 10 before bed. Why don't I want to jump you may ask? It's because I just don't want to do it. Usually I'm in the middle of something (usually homework or gaiaonline), so I have to take a break from it and jump. Therefore because of that, one reason to prove I'm lazy is that I don't want to stop doing my homework because I feel like it's more important then jumping to loose weight.

But there is also another side to working and having to jump when I'm doing homework. Sometimes I plain just forget to jump. Why? Well one reason would be that I haven't really made it a habit; like I haven't laid away a specific time to jump. So because I haven't made it a habit that may be a reason why I forget to exercise. But something else contributes again to this idea. Usually when I'm in the middle of a homework assignment, I'm bent on finishing it. So I focus all my knowledge, strength, and energy to accomplishing it. Thus because I'm focusing everything into finishing an assingment other things tend to be pushed aside and forgotten. So you see? I'm lazy because either I don't want to stop in the middle of homework or I just forget it because I haven't made it a habit, and I forget when I'm concentrating on homework.

Lastly, the other reason is food! Yes I like so many others love sweets. (muhahahaha) Why would this contribute? Well it's because sometimes my mother buys items like fruit snacks or just little goodies. So because I sometimes find these around the house, I am very tempted to eat them. And sadly if they taste very good I might have more than one. So I have no control over my actions anymore. Why? Well at least I know in chocolate there are certain chemicals that send messages to your brain and kind of interfer with your feelings. You see the choclate makes you feel happy, hyper, or the feeling of being in love so it makes you want to have more of it. In other words you in a sense become addicted to food or in this case chocolate so you crave more. Therefore when I find certain snacks that I love these chemicals react to make me crave more food, so I in a sense gain more weight than loose some.

So in conclusion, (wow I love saying that ;) Yes I am still trying to loose weight but sometimes things get in the way. Either I'm just too lazy to exercise or I eat snacks that have chemicals that make me crave for more. So yes food can be bad, but all I need to do is exercise more.

High School "special dances"

Okay, I'm like in this weird school dance mood since Preference is coming up this weekend, and some of my good friends are going.

But why do I feel this way? Why do I want to go to a "cool" dance like Prom or Preference? Well first of all, it's the fancy dresses. When you go to a high cost dance they expect you to dress formally which means you have to buy a fancy dress. You see I find wearing a fancy dress awsome because I've never worn one in my life, so I want to be able to have that experience and see exactly how I look in a poofy dress. Thus I badly want to wear one! (I've had my eye on this really cool blue poofy dress at the mall for ages)

Next, is the day date. But why would I want to go on one? Well the answer to that is, I've never gone on a date! So since I've never gone on one I'd like to experience it! I've always heard fun stories about what my friends did on their day date before the dance, so because of that I'd like to see how much fun it would be for me. I mean come on who wouldn't like to go on a group date with your friends and just hang around doing exciting things? I would! Therefore because I've heard so much about it I'd like to experience it for myself.

Last, is the dance itself. Why would this be fun? Well it's because I wouldn't have to have the trouble of asking someone to dance, I'd dance with my date. See asking people to dance is embarrasing (as I mentioned in a previous post) because you don't usually know the person. Also because we teenagers have horomones, it's fun to dance with a guy who's in a tux, and see everyone else dressed up. This is becuase it's not fun having no guy to dance with and it's even cooler to see everyone dressed up.

So hopefully before the end of high school, I will have the chance of going to an expensive dance and going on a day date before the dance. This feels like a once in a lifetime experience so I want to make sure I can participate in it and have fun!

Colds: the unstopable enemy

Yes this is a very weird topic, but I think mine get weirder as I run out of ideas. Not to mention I'm like really tried right now.

Anyway, so why would I detest colds? In a word acho! Well first (as you might know) colds for me tend to start out with a sore throat. They are annoying because your throat can become sore, and then later the virus eventually changes your voice so that it sounds different or sick. I dislike this because the virus makes it painful to talk, therefore sometimes leading you to whisper or to not speak at all. This can be hard when you're in school because you might need to ask the teacher a question and well you can't say what you need to very well since your throat hurts!

Next is the actual cold stage, the runny, stuffy, nose. For me it is embarrassing have to blow your nose so much in classes. This is because most people think musus is gross, so they don't really like watching you blow your nose. As a result I try and look away when I'm blowing my nose because I don't want to be as much embarrassed. Also when you have a runny nose you constantly have to blow it and wipe it. This can be a pain because you have to carry a huge wad of tissue around with you everywhere to blow it. Yet when you have a stuffy nose, it can be worse. Why? Well when you can't breath out of your nose you have to resort to opend your mouth to breath or other wise it would be like have to breath through a straw (nose). This can be bad because your thoat can become sore and dry from the exposed air. Consequently, this can lead to almost another sore throat which can lead you very unhappy. Why? Well, you're almost starting at the beginning of the cold cycle, and it can be painful to breath because your nose is stuffed and your throat is sore. Therefore, this makes you very unhappy.

Plus there's the deliema, whether or not to stay home or go to school. In elementary you probably stayed home, but in high school you can't afford too. High school students rather risk spreading the virus to everyone than staying home because if they stay home they will get more behind thus leading to more homework. Also students would rather go to school so that they might not miss out on important things and not understand them. (From what I've seen we all rather risk spreading it to eachother. No wonder we're so sick.)

So in conclusion I really detest colds since virus keep coming back each year and I hate receving sore throats and stuffy/runny noses. So yes it would be nice if they would not keep coming back, but oh well we all have to live through some things don't we?

Stake Dance

Yes I must really have run out ideas if I'm doing the "Stake Dance" I went to. Okay so this was to celebrate New Years, except we did it friday night.

Alright let's get to it. :) (yay for smiley!)

So as one might know it is highly embarrassing to ask someone you don't know to dance. Yet as I ponder, I wonder why is that? It's because (in a girl's point of view) you have to hold their hand and put your left hand on their shoulder while dancing very close to them. Now this can become quite uncomfortable because you don't know this person at all! They are a complete stranger to you, so it feels unwise to be dancing with them in that position because they are not a friend you know well. It feels as if you are invading their personal bubble by touching them in that way. As a result, I often feel like a fool and I'm reluctant to ask a boy who I don't know to dance.

Yet as another result I tend to talk alot when dancing. Why might you ask? Well if he's a stranger then it's a way I can get to know him a little bit. Mostly it's just a way to pass time so that there are no awkward moments where we don't talk. Thus I try to avoid the embarrassment by talking and asking questions. (side note: not to mention that it's still embarrassing to dance with someone I know!)

On another note why was this dance so much fun? Well first of all, I got to see my friends who I haven't seen since the day before Christmas break. So I was happy to see them because I haven't had a chance to hang out with them. Also because they have such interesting and enjoyable personalities this made the dance more exciting. Therefore we got really hyper. ;)

Second, the music is so upbeat and loud that one cannot help but get hyper. The DJ sometimes plays songs that I know of so then I often join in with the singer. Thus certain songs that I am familar with contributes to making the dance more exciting because well I just love listening to those songs!

So yes I enjoy going to dances but it's also an embarrassing and uncomfortable environment when slow dances begin.
