Colds: the unstopable enemy
Yes this is a very weird topic, but I think mine get weirder as I run out of ideas. Not to mention I'm like really tried right now.
Anyway, so why would I detest colds? In a word acho! Well first (as you might know) colds for me tend to start out with a sore throat. They are annoying because your throat can become sore, and then later the virus eventually changes your voice so that it sounds different or sick. I dislike this because the virus makes it painful to talk, therefore sometimes leading you to whisper or to not speak at all. This can be hard when you're in school because you might need to ask the teacher a question and well you can't say what you need to very well since your throat hurts!
Next is the actual cold stage, the runny, stuffy, nose. For me it is embarrassing have to blow your nose so much in classes. This is because most people think musus is gross, so they don't really like watching you blow your nose. As a result I try and look away when I'm blowing my nose because I don't want to be as much embarrassed. Also when you have a runny nose you constantly have to blow it and wipe it. This can be a pain because you have to carry a huge wad of tissue around with you everywhere to blow it. Yet when you have a stuffy nose, it can be worse. Why? Well when you can't breath out of your nose you have to resort to opend your mouth to breath or other wise it would be like have to breath through a straw (nose). This can be bad because your thoat can become sore and dry from the exposed air. Consequently, this can lead to almost another sore throat which can lead you very unhappy. Why? Well, you're almost starting at the beginning of the cold cycle, and it can be painful to breath because your nose is stuffed and your throat is sore. Therefore, this makes you very unhappy.
Plus there's the deliema, whether or not to stay home or go to school. In elementary you probably stayed home, but in high school you can't afford too. High school students rather risk spreading the virus to everyone than staying home because if they stay home they will get more behind thus leading to more homework. Also students would rather go to school so that they might not miss out on important things and not understand them. (From what I've seen we all rather risk spreading it to eachother. No wonder we're so sick.)
So in conclusion I really detest colds since virus keep coming back each year and I hate receving sore throats and stuffy/runny noses. So yes it would be nice if they would not keep coming back, but oh well we all have to live through some things don't we?

Oh! Amen suzy! You hit colds right on the nose!(Which might not be good because I'm guessing colds probably have running noses :D) I'm just barely starting to get over my regular seasonal cold and your blog has inspired me. Hey!Do you remember those days back in eighth grade when I'd ask you "Suzy, why do you blow your nose?" and you were supposed to say "because I have one." LOL memories. So true though isn't it? Colds are just inevitable. Wouldn't life be great without them?
