Narnia the series as in the books

Alright well as you know this is one of the things that popped into my head and I love going with first ideas. So, ouch..... I'm typing with a cut hand. My rabbit scratched me last night just because she didn't want to go back in her cage so here I am with this sore hand.

So why would I like/dislike the books? Well the only reason I started reading the series is because the movie came out last December. But you would think that because I liked the movie that I would like the books. But this is not true....

You see the books are written for 4th graders! why? Well when you get a chance to look at a Narnia book just look inside and take a look at the words. They are small letter words that are easy to follow. Also the book is not even that long. It's rang is around 200 pages. This might seem long, but believe me it isn't because I can finish those types of books very fast. So because the words are too easy to read, high school students can become bored since they are used to reading harder words and longer books.

Maybe it's just because the books were written so long ago, but the plot isn't that exciting nor is the author's writing style. It seems like the plot isn't that exciting because of how the author jumps around the characters. See after the 2nd book you are introduced to other characters who are really boring since the book has nothing really to do with Aslan or the sons of Adam and daughters of Eve. Sure it mentions some of them, but because the author didn't stick with the regular characters from the 2nd book the series seem like they don't belong together. What I mean is that it seems like the author just strung some characters together in one series and said here it's the same story. (not really) Therefore because the author doesn't stick with his original characters, high school students can get bored since the author jumps around too much. Also the writing is annoying. The author uses smiple verbs and adjectives which down grades on the story because the bad word choice affects the story in that it makes the story seem bad too. Plus the author discribes things so blandy or he'll use too much detail. This again down grades on the story because I am either confused because he didn't describe something enough or I get bogged down because he described something too much. Thus because his word choice isn't that exciting it makes the story not as exciting.

But I shall continue to keep reading these books until I'm done so that I can say I've read them. Even though they are boring I keep reading hoping that they will become unboring.

You really don't like the books? Gosh I loved them!...but then ofcourse I read them when they were closer to my reading level at the time...but still...I'm scared of watching Narnia cuz I'm afraid it will ruin my imagination like Harry Potter did.
