Thanksgiving Break
Yay Thanksgiving is coming up soon, so I'm very happy!! Yes but then a thought comes to me and asks why am I so happy for Thanksgiving?
Several reasons attribute to this. The first one is that we have no school which is very nice since we get a break from classes. This helps me because I don't have to stress about homework assignments or tests since there's no school. Also because we have no school I can catch up on homework assignments that I otherwise probably would have procrastinated on. For example, I'm in AP art this year and it's hard because we recieve one art assignment a week. Therefore I have to hurry and get my picture done in order to recieve an "A" grade for it. But since I have no school, during Thanksgiving I can work on catching up on my art pictures. This helps me to not be further behind and I can actually take more time to get the layout and proportions right on my picture. Thus Thanksgiving break allows me to catch up on homework and get it done thereby enjoying the rest of the week, hopefully homework free.
Yet, there are other things that I throughly enjoy about Thanksgiving. The Food! But why would someone care about the food? Well it's because I (probably like most other people) only get to eat some of these foods on Thanksgiving, which is once a year. So I really look forward to eating foods like: turkey, stuffing, pie, mashpotatoes, etc, that I would hardly ever get to eat. They are just so yummy so that's why I look forward to eating.
Lastly, getting together with friends on Thanksgiving really makes the holiday more exciting. Why? Because we get to meet with certain people that we only talk to once a year. It can be surpisingly alot of fun when you engage in conversation with semi strangers, because you get to learn more about the person and kind of catch up with what has going on. This is nice because you feel more connected to them and you just feel like you know them better.
So now I hope you can see why I love Thanksgiving break. It's because we have no school and we get to eat food! FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD!!
